Printing and the overall printing industry has got a long tradition in Uzice . In the village of Vrutci,near Uzice,the first printing office in Serbia was founded in the 16th century.
In the period after World War II the Printing office"Dimitrije Tucović" used to be the main representative of this industry sector.Recently, this company has had serous organizational problems.Similar situation is with the Printing office Rujan.
However, private sector has been more dynamic.Thus , today in Užic there are several companies which are very successful.
