The industry of metals and metal processing represents a strategic economic sector of this region.Soon after World War II , along with the industrialization of the country opening of economic subjects from this field was started. Nowadays, the biggest number of employees work in this sector.

Copper Rolling Mill Sevojno is a real agent of economic development of Utica and the surrounding area.Since its foundation in 1952, this factory has been employing the biggest number of people in Uzice , and over the years it has become the biggest manufacturer of copper and its alloys on the territory of former
Within its production programme the factory offers the following:

The Copper Rolling Mill is the founder of four other companies which represent the accompanying activity of the founder but also do business with the third persons. Valjaonica Femod se is engaged in manufacture and reparation of electro machinery equipment and parts , foremostly in metallurgy, crude oil and chemical industry , hydro and thermal power plants ,metal melting and casting facilities . Valjaonica Femod producers all kinds of radiators, and is also engaged in all the others electro and mechanical activities.

IMPOL-SEVAL Rolling mill a.d. worked as a part of a single system together with the Copper MRolling Milll till 1991.After that this company began working independently and in 2002 with the privatization , it became a part of the economic system IMPOL.
Impol-Seval within its production programme has products made of aluminum and its alloys , applying the procedures of casting, hot rolling and cold rolling.

The production assortment includes the following:

4. Sheets

The products of this factory have been used widely in civil engineering, manufacturing of means of transport, electro-technics and electronics, cookware and foils, tools, furniture, military industry etc.

Impol-Seval is in the process of making a document called The Strategy of Development of Impol Seval a.d. 2008-2012 where the aims of the company for the forthcoming 4-year period have been defined. Three is a plan of increasing the capacities and enlarging the assortment of products, introducing new technology procedures and increasing the efficiency end effectiveness of the company.

Prvi partizan Užice is a factory which produces ammunition ,founded in 1928.It used to be a part of the big system called “Prvi Partizan” , and nowadays it is a profitable company and one of the most distinguished companies of its branch in Europe. This company offers the assortment which includes more than 350 types of ammunition for pistols, revolvers and others small weapons, as well as the sports and hunting ammunition , machines and the necessary parts for the ammunition manufacturing , artillery ammunition etc.

The company Autoventil from Užice manufactures valves and valve guides for the engines of the passenger and freight vehicles, tractors, railway carriages, vessels , construction and mining machinery.Within their production programme they also have the parts of the valve type( valve lifters, valve rods, spring plates, rocker arms, engine head arms )

Sinter AD is the leader in the region in the production of metal powders (from bronze, zinc, tin, brass, lead, copper etc).These poders have been used widely in metallurgy , chemical processes and metal joints,-pigments.Sinter is also engaged in the production of sintered parts(filters, bearings and machinery parts).

The company from Užice Metaloprerada AD is one of the most important firms in the region in the field of production of final and semi-final products made of non-ferrous metals.Metaloprerada produces cooling water radiators,oil and air coolers, heat exchangers, light bulb screw bases, caps for safety fuses and illumination elements.Recently it has become distinguishable by producing traffic signs screw caps, pharmaceutical caps, as well as by the production of pre-alloys (P-Cu; As-Cu; Al-Cu; Al-Mn; Al-Si etc).

Corun doo Užice (joint stock company) is a factory producing cemented carbide indexable inserts turning-holders and milling cutters as well as other cutting tools based on cemented carbide. Apart from that Corun produces tools for road economy and mining as well as the tools for the processing of cold heating and forming.

Company ABC proizvod has been engaged in the production of universal boilers for heating(using solid, liquid and gas fuels) ever since 1990.Apart from that , the company produces stoves which use solid fuels, but it also deals in trade of the materials used for central heating as well as in the trade of fiscal systems and devices.

Voksal was founded as a company in 1965 by buying a licence to produce cemented carbide from the German firm Valarm. Voksal produces cemented carbide tools, cemented carbide itself and high-voltage contacts.Apart from that it is also engaged in PIN technology which has been widely used in the car and aircraft industry , electronics, medicine and civil engineering.

Elektrotermija doo produces all types of electric heaters and thermo technical appliances. These heaters are used in industry, catering and bakery , but also in the households and wider consumption. apart from that , the company produces bathroom and quartz heaters, hot plates,grills, storage and instant water boilers, calorifers,spare parts for cookers, boilers, stoves, heaters etc.

Alati univerzal is a company dealing with the production of machinery for wood, stone, paper products, , sheets.This company also makes technical documentation for the machines, spare parts and equipment ,cutting parts and fits and performs the services of mechanical processing. Apart from the production, it does the services of trading in tools, tube-like heaters, wire products and other technical goods.

Izolater has as its main activity the manufacturing of industry elements, fits and parts of equipment – all made of PU elasthomers. The production of polyurethane cylinders , which are used in the graphic industry, rolling mills and paper production, takes a special place. Apart from that it produces sieves for the separation of coal, ore, sand, gravel…, rotors for filtration, cyclones, transport line wipers, amortization elements and rollers for sheets.

Turbo service is a company which deals with the production and servicing of turbo compressors, visco ventilators and water pumps.

MDM produces graphite and metal- graphite brushes and sintered bearings for cars(starters, alternators, motor fans and windshield wipers) and for the ventilators of the thermo-accumulation stoves

MTK Metal-komerc from Užice is engaged in the manufacturing of metal products and tools. se. Its assortments includes mandrels and drawing dies, tools for hammering and rolling, special cemented carbide tools , rivets and contact rivets .

Company Alprom doo u in its production programme includes the following: roofing and façade sheets(made of aluminum , zinc), the accompanying elements for covering( straw roofers, gutters, snow fences), aluminum strips and wall panelling , aluminum fences made of foundered elements, electro equipment ( cable connecting lockers). Alprom also deals with wholesale trade in aluminum and copper sheets and strips.
